Research from Colorado State University's Veterinary Teachiing Hospital has been released, helping to better understand equine West Nile virus (WNV) casses in Colorado and Nebraska. The following results are based on the compilation of information gathered from approximately 500 owners of horses affected with WNV in Colorado and Nebraska. * Approximately 47% of the study cases had received at least one dose of the WNV vaccine before becoming infected; 3% were vaccinated after clinical signs of the disease were displayed; 50% were unvaccinated.
