Foxcroft Pony Club
Wednesday, June 09, 2004
DOVER-FOXCROFT - Foxcroft Pony Club's team of five young equestrians has qualified to go to the USPC National Championships in Lexington, Kentucky this coming July. The girls will be representing the state of Maine in Games competition, competing with teams of young people from all over the USA.

The US Pony Club is a nonprofit organization that teaches young people horsemanship, responsibility and team work. To earn this opportunity, each girl had to qualify with their pony at a Northeast Regional games rally which was held this past May. Known as the team of "Wicked Good" they won the senior division Games regional championship. Not only were they scored on riding but also on the care of their horses and tack.

You will see the girls around town fund-raising. They will have purple Pony Club shirts on and will have their picture on a poster. Each girl has to raise enough money to pay for their horse's transportation to Kentucky.
