MAINE - The University of Maine Cooperative Extension realizes that many Maine farmers have found it difficult to get dry hay produced this year. The extension has coordinated a Hay Directory to assist farmers who are in need due to the bad growing season. This posting, located at www.umaine.edu/livestock/hay.htm, helps farmers who are searching for hay products find a local source. Hay producers who have product to sell are encouraged to post their product on the website, call the Waldo County Extension Office at 1-800-287-1426 or e-mail richardk@umext.maine.edu.
